Lesson Plans
Students will demonstrate their ability to trust their instincts through playing different improvisation games and participating in a class discussion.
Students will demonstrate their understanding of character development by creating a character with personality and traits for their assigned duo scene.
Students will demonstrate their understanding of objectives, tactics, and obstacles by performing and working through their scenes.
Students will demonstrate their knowledge of stage directions and other basics by blocking a portion of their duo scene.
Students will demonstrate their understanding of how to use physicality in their acting by performing a short scene.
Students will demonstrate their understanding of projection, diction, and breathing by performing a tongue-twister.
Students will demonstrate their knowledge of listening and reacting by participating in a listening and reacting exercise as well as performing a portion of their scene.
Students will demonstrate their understanding of the basic acting skills by performing a preview of their scenes.
Students will refine their basic acting skills by reworking their duo scenes with the aid of the teacher and the class.
Students will demonstrate all the skills they have learned in this unit by performing their scenes a final time.
