Anticipatory Set/Hook Hook: Let the class vote on a warm-up/improv game to get their energy flowing.
Instruction: Give the students most of the class to rehearse and work on their monologues using the improv techniques learned in the unit. Remind them to look over the rubric. Begin performances and finish performances during the next class period.
UNIT CLOSURE DISCUSSION: What are some principles you’ve learned in this improv unit? How can you use improv techniques in your acting? Do they have to be exclusive to improv? What are some goals you have related to improv or acting in general? Has this unit helped you make any goals? Have you realized that you need improvement in certain areas?
