Theatre Foundations Lessons

Theatre Foundations Lessons are lessons that deal with introducing theatre to students: performing tips, theatre jobs/areas, stage directions, body positions, intro to drama, etc.  They can be used as stand-alone lessons or attached to a correlating theatre unit as pre-assessments or reviews or such.

Students will demonstrate an ability to unlock their imaginations by participating in some beginning exercises for imagination.

Stage Directions Bingo & Blocking

Students will demonstrate an understanding of stage directions by participating in a Stage Direction bingo test. The lesson can continue into an introduction to blocking using stage direction notations and blocking a contentless scene.

Students will demonstrate their understanding of Plot Structure by identifying the elements of such in a fairy tale and in their duo scenes.
